Contour
where journeys bend
Nothing goes according to plan on any “planned” adventure.
Trails bend. Waves rise and fall. Weather changes without apology. I have had my fair share of hiccups and detours on every single adventure. From getting rejected to board my flight, hiking consecutive days through the heaviest downpour predicted for that year, to 6 days of diarrhoea at high altitude. All for the lore.
But these adventures taught me more than I ever knew.
I was forced to slow down.
To adapt.
To notice and be present.
...and people made them unforgettable.

Walking Without Destination
